Roma take charge of Champions League chase at the expense of Juventus

    19.05.2026 | 52 min.
For the penultimate time this season, Jimbo’s got his European football friends Pol Ballús, James Horncastle and Tom Williams alongside him as the season reaches its conclusion.

In Italy, Juve look to have fumbled a top-four finish after their 2-0 defeat by Fiorentina. It leaves Roma in pole position and Como still in with a chance of Champions League football. Plus - could Jamie Vardy still save Cremonese from the drop?

Over in Spain, the battle down the bottom continues to take twists and turns, with Elche and Girona set to battle it out in what could be the relegation decider on the final day of the season. Elsewhere, Barca complete a perfect 19 home wins from 19 - but there are injury woes which could dent La Roja’s chances at the World Cup this summer.

The Ligue 1 season concluded in its own chaotic fashion, with champions PSG beaten by neighbours Paris FC, Habib Beye having the last laugh with Marseille against former side Rennes - and a nine-goal thriller between Strasbourg and Monaco!

For news of a Bundesliga variety, Seb Stafford-Bloor sends his dispatches on a dramatic final day in Germany in the hunt for a top four finish and survival. Plus - what should Aston Villa expect against Europa League final opponents Freiburg on Wednesday night?

Chelsea appoint Alonso, Salah lets loose and West Ham woes worsen

    17.05.2026 | 1 t. 14 min.
Jimbo has Daniel Storey, Tim Spiers and Colin Millar for company on a very newsworthy penultimate Premier League weekend.

It’s Man City who claim the FA Cup and the domestic cup double but runners up Chelsea waste no time in appointing Xabi Alonso as their manager for next season. A coup for BlueCo? Liam Twomey joins us to discuss.

How are Liverpool fans feeling about that news? After seeing their team taken to the cleaners by Villa on Friday, Champions League football isn’t guaranteed and the departing Mo Salah has his say about where the team’s gone wrong.

West Ham slip deeper into the relegation mire with a 3-1 defeat against Newcastle. They must win their last game and hope Spurs lose their final two matches in order to stay up.

Bruno Fernandes equals the all-time Premier League assist record in Man United’s victory over Forest. And it’s a great afternoon for Bournemouth in the race for European football and the Cherries didn’t even play.

Plus Hearts miss out on a first title in 61 years after a dramatic finale at Celtic Park.

    14.05.2026 | 1 t. 3 min.
Jimbo sits down in the studio with Duncan Alexander, Charlie Eccleshare, Natalie Gedra with a flying visit from Phil Hay as the FA Cup Final approaches and the title races in England and Scotland go right down to the wire.

There’s no blinking from Manchester City who beat Crystal Palace 3-0 to reduce the gap with Arsenal at the top of the Premier League to two points again. The Gunners host already-relegated Burnley on Monday.

City have to deal with the small matter of the FA Cup Final against Chelsea before then. Is an improbable domestic treble still on for Pep Guardiola’s men? Or can interim Blues boss Calum McFarlane put a spanner in the works?

VAR has certainly put a spanner in the celebration plans for Hearts in Scotland. Celtic awarded a 99th minute penalty to win 3-2 at Motherwell and take the Scottish Premiership title race to a final day showdown between the top two.

Barca win La Liga in El Clasico - Mourinho to the rescue for Real?

    12.05.2026 | 47 min.
Jimbo is missing Seb Stafford-Bloor, but the usual gang of James Horncastle, Tom Williams and Pol Ballus still have more than enough to talk about as the football season nears its end on the Continent.

Barcelona become the first ever team to win La Liga in El Clasico. Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres score the goals as the Catalonians beat Real Madrid 2-0 to confirm the title, and compound misery on what’s been a disastrous week for Los Blancos. Might Jose Mourinho be the answer to their problems?

Desiré Doué was the answer for Champions League finalists PSG as they scored late to beat Brest 1-0 and re-establish a six point gap between themselves and second-placed Lens at the top of Ligue 1. Wouldn’t you know it, they play Lens next - a draw would secure the title for the Parisians.

In Germany, it’s a wild fight for survival with three teams at the bottom on the same points. And in Italy, the race for Champions League hots up as Roma leave it VERY late and Milan stumble again. And there’s the Coppa Italia Final between Lazio and Inter coming up.

Produced by Lucy Oliva and Xavi Bird.

Part 1: Moments of the week (3:00)
Part 2: Barca win La Liga + Mourinho back to Real? (8:00)
Part 3: Serie A race for top four hots up (28:00)
Part 4a: THREE English teams in European finals (40:00)
Part 4b: PSG a point away from Ligue 1 title (42:00)
Part 4c: Bundesliga fight for survival (49:00)
