Then, it’s time to get into the strange.
Deep in the forests of Oregon, a witness encounters a frightening antlered figure that seems like something pulled straight from an old nightmare. In Illinois, a girl hunting with her grandfather discovers a strange object in the woods and decides to bring it home—a decision that may have brought something else back with her. While serving in Iraq, a Marine witnesses a bizarre hovering craft that appears to be completely invisible to the naked eye and can only be seen through night vision. In upstate New York, an unexpected encounter with a massive, unexplained creature leaves a witness wondering if Sasquatch really does roam those woods.
Finally, the guys dive into an incredible account from rural Arkansas involving a young deer hunter who stumbles upon four tiny humanoid figures deep in the forest. What he witnesses is strange enough, but when the beings suddenly realize that he can see them, the encounter takes a terrifying turn. And what happens after he makes it home suggests that whatever he encountered in those woods may have known exactly where to find him.
Were they creatures, spirits, the Fae, or something that normally exists just beyond our perception? Perhaps, for just a few moments, the barrier between their world and ours simply failed.

On this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys kick things off by talking about the incredible Texas comeback against Ohio State in college football before diving headfirst into another collection of bizarre and unsettling encounters.
First, a witness reports a disturbing encounter with a mysterious horse-headed humanoid. Then, a group of hikers camping inside what appears to be a fairy circle discovers that some of their expensive equipment has mysteriously vanished—and they begin to wonder if the Fae Folk might have had something to do with it. Near Johnson City, Tennessee, another witness comes face-to-face with a bizarre three-horned creature, while deep in the woods of Minnesota, someone experiences a terrifying encounter with what they believe may have been a Wendigo. Later, a logger camping in the Oregon wilderness spots something near camp that looks disturbingly like a Dogman.
Finally, we travel to the forests of northeastern Pennsylvania for an encounter that Evan has never been able to explain. At thirteen years old, he and three friends set out through the woods toward an abandoned quarry. Along the way, they discover a mutilated deer, a bloodstained piece of cloth, and an old rusty knife. Then Evan notices something watching them from behind a tree—a massive gray hand with long fingers and what appear to be claws.
Things only get worse when the boys hear a strange, mechanical voice coming from the woods. Moments later, they see the creature itself: an enormous humanoid figure with impossibly long arms, huge claws, red eyes, canine-like teeth, and a horrifying metallic roar. The creature gives chase, pursuing the terrified boys through the forest until they finally reach the road.
But that's when the encounter takes its most disturbing turn. The creature stops at the edge of the woods, stares directly at Evan, opens its mouth, and speaks a single word in that strange metallic voice: “Evan.” Somehow, the thing knew his name. Horse-headed humanoids, mischievous Fae Folk, three-horned creatures, Wendigos, Dogmen, and something lurking in the Pennsylvania woods that may have known far more about four young boys than it should have.

From bizarre experiences in the wilderness to unexplained creatures and encounters that seem to defy any conventional explanation, the stories this week serve as another reminder that sometimes the strangest things happen when we least expect them.
Then, the incredible story of a listener named Lewis, whose experience began as a peaceful camping and fishing trip with his girlfriend at Croft State Park in South Carolina. After noticing a mysterious orange light moving through the night sky, the couple watched as the strange object returned the following evening—this time descending over Lake Craig. But later that night, things took a terrifying turn. Lewis awoke around 3:00 a.m. to strange sounds moving around their campsite. Thinking raccoons had gotten into their supplies, he climbed out of the tent to investigate. Instead, he found the glowing orange object hovering nearby—and several small, childlike beings moving through the camp.
What happened next remains a mystery.
Hours later, Lewis was discovered more than a mile from the campsite, lying facedown in the grass along a trail. He had no memory of how he got there, his shoes were missing, and his clothing was strangely out of place. More than four decades later, Lewis still wonders what really happened during those missing hours—and whether some memories are better left buried.

David is a true Renaissance man of the strange and supernatural. For decades, he has traveled the world investigating ghosts, cryptids, UFOs, ancient mysteries, magic, psychic phenomena, and the many things that seem to exist just beyond the boundaries of our understanding.
