Reggie Hubbard is a senior political strategist who is also a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher. He was the former Senior Political Strategist and Congressional Liaison for MoveOn.org, served as the National Advance Lead for the 2016 Bernie Sanders Campaign, and was an Advance Consultant for then Vice President Biden and First Lady Michelle Obama. Reggie is the founder of Active Peace Yoga, a practice rooted in inclusion, healing, and accessibility--regardless of race, gender, body type, or experience level. Through this platform, he offers yoga and meditation grounded in compassion, drawing creative inspiration from artists like Prince and Jimi Hendrix. His teaching weaves together sound, movement, breathwork, and honest dialogue. Reggie also advises studios, teachers, and wellness communities on cultivating diverse, inclusive spaces and dismantling exclusionary norms. Following a major stroke, his recovery journey further deepened his commitment to making contemplative practices a tool for collective and personal transformation. Reggie earned a B.A. from Yale and an M.B.A. in International Strategy from the Vlerick Business School in Belgium. He has also studied with renown yoga and meditation teachers such as Faith Hunter, Amy Ippoliti, Yogarupa Rod Stryker, Sri Dharma Mittra, Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.
