  • The Ongoing Search for Answers — A 'Missing in America' Panel
For years, Dateline’s 'Missing in America' series has highlighted the stories of the missing and the families who won’t stop searching for their loved ones. Now, four seasons into the podcast — and for the 12th anniversary of the digital series — we’ve brought together some of the people we’ve met along the way for a candid, emotional conversation. You’ll hear from family members like Travis Ware and Sue Quackenbush, from loved ones-turned-advocates like Rachel Barth and Colleen Nick, from retired detective Nan Trogdon, and from MMIWP advocate Raven Payment. Together, they share what they’ve learned in their ongoing fight for answers and offer guidance for others walking the same difficult path. Learn more about the cases mentioned in this podcast. The Disappearance of Alexis Ware: https://www.nbcnews.com/dateline/dateline-missing-america-podcast-covers-january-2022-disappearance-alexis-ware-n1297966The Disappearance of Danielle Lopez: https://www.nbcnews.com/dateline/dateline-missing-in-america-podcast/danielle-lopez-disappearance-new-jersey-rcna211887The Morgan Nick Case: https://www.nbcnews.com/dateline/cold-case-spotlight/mother-missing-morgan-nick-still-fighting-bring-her-home-fbi-n1283729The Disappearance of Kent Jacobs: https://www.nbcnews.com/dateline/dateline-missing-in-america-podcast/dateline-missing-america-podcast-covers-march-2002-disappearance-kent-rcna87155The Tyler Goodrich Case: https://www.nbcnews.com/dateline/dateline-missing-in-america-podcast/dateline-missing-america-podcast-covers-november-2023-disappearance-ty-rcna163022 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. • Marked with an X
It was the early morning hours of May 20, 2017, and 15-year-old Sophie Reeder should have been in bed. Instead, she had slipped out of her house in the River Oaks neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale and walked off into the hot, humid night. Two security cameras recorded some of Sophie’s movements over the next several hours. One recorded her walking past a neighbor’s house as she started her journey; another recorded her walking along a busy road near her home at 2 a.m. In that video, a police cruiser passes the 5-foot-1, 100-pound teenager and doesn’t slow down or stop. Sophie is seen wearing a short black dress, high-top sneakers, a leopard-print fake fur coat, and headphones. They are the last known images of her.  Seven weeks after Sophie’s disappearance, police executed a search warrant at an apartment in the area where her phone last pinged. Three convicted felons were staying at that address. Josh Mankiewicz talks with Sophie’s father, Patrick Reeder, her aunt Kirsten Milhorn, reporter Brittany Wallman of the Miami Herald, and Sergeant Don Geiger of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department. The FLPD is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for credible information that leads to the recovery of Sophie Reeder. Anyone with information about Sophie’s disappearance is asked to call the Fort Lauderdale Police Department at 954-828-6677 or email [email protected]. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. • The Cold Case of Nancy Snow
On November 4, 1980, 44-year-old Nancy Snow boarded a flight to Baltimore from St. Louis, Missouri, where she had spent several months working on Gene McNary’s U.S. Senate campaign. That night she went to a party in Baltimore; the next morning she had breakfast with the party’s host. Afterward, a man who was housesitting for Nancy apparently picked her up at a hotel, and they drove off together. Nancy Snow hasn’t been seen or heard from since then, and her disappearance is one of the D.C. area’s oldest unsolved cases. More than 44 years later, her three daughters are convinced they know who is responsible for Nancy’s disappearance.  Dateline’s Josh Mankiewicz talks with her daughters Justine, Kimberly and Stacy Snow, Corporal William Noel of the Annapolis Police Department, and retired detective David Cordle. If you have any information about the disappearance of Nancy Snow, please call the Annapolis Police Department at 410-268-9000 and ask for Corporal William Noel. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
