Berlin’s Jonas Xenon takes control of the **NUDE Techno Podcast** today with 27 tracks of rolling, hypnotic techno built firmly for dark rooms and late hours.

Coming from a drum and bass background, Xenon’s music has always carried that sense of movement. The tempos may have changed, but the restless grooves, tight percussion and pressure are still there. Add his taste for old-school techno aesthetics and synth-led arrangements, and you get a sound that feels direct without being stuck in the past.

That carries straight into this mix. In his own words, it is “a blend of driving rollers influenced by the early 2000s,” and the tracklist backs that up. Tommy Four Seven, Cleric, Gary Beck, Regis, Phil Berg, Alan Fitzpatrick and Reset Robot all feature, alongside newer cuts from the likes of Nizre, Cirkle and Machinegeist.

The special ingredient is the synth work. Rather than chasing big drops, Xenon keeps the tension moving through repeating lines, stripped drums and tracks that lock together properly. It is the sort of set that makes more sense the deeper you get into it.

His personal pick is **Machinegeist’s ‘Solid Shapes’**, forthcoming on Xenon’s own **Headlight Recordings**, while another Machinegeist cut, ‘Sensory Deprivation’, also makes an appearance.

The mix lands just after Xenon released his six-track **‘Shine Through Tinted Glass’ EP** on Headlight Recordings on 14th August. The record moves through dub-infused techno with a breakbeat detour and includes two collaborations with DAMIANO (DE).

There is plenty more moving behind the scenes too. Xenon has two collaborative EPs with Michael Rosmann lined up for **Mouche Records** and **Headlight Recordings**, while work is underway on a first hybrid live set with Mython, due to premiere in Berlin this October. He has also just returned from New York, where he recorded his first hardware-only EP for **Blackcat Recordings**.

For now though, the focus is the mix. Twenty-seven tracks, plenty of pressure and no wasted space.

**Melvin Spix steps into the NUDE Techno hot seat**

Melvin Spix lands on the NUDE Techno Podcast today with an hour of rolling, groovy techno built for dark rooms, low ceilings and proper heads-down moments.

The Maastricht-based producer has been steadily carving out his lane with rhythm-heavy, no-nonsense techno, backed by support from Eli Brown, Sam Paganini, Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, Ramon Tapia and more. His 2023 ‘System / Black Mirror’ EP helped push things forward, with further outings on Say What, AnalyticTrail, Kneaded Pains and Unity Records keeping the pressure on.

His latest move sees him reunite with Los Angeles-based TimeKube for their debut on Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD. Their ‘1001’ EP, released on 24th April 2026, is exactly where this sound belongs. ‘1001’ rolls with stripped-back drums, smoky synth work and a raw warehouse pulse, while ‘9009’ pushes darker, stacking percussion and rising synth tension into a proper peak-time weapon.

That same energy runs through today’s mix. Melvin keeps it tight and functional, moving through cuts from K-H1, Frank Biazzi, Agent Orange, Drumsauw, KMYLE, Kr!z and Hollen, alongside his own ‘Trippy Journey’ and collaborations with Drumsauw and TimeKube. No fluff, no wandering about. Just groove, drive and techno with its boots firmly on the floor.

**Keeva G Steps Into The NUDE TECHNO Series**

There is a certain kind of techno that does not need much dressing up.

This week, Belfast selector Keeva G joins our NUDE TECHNO series with an hour of raw, driving pressure, built for low ceilings, red lights and rooms that do not have much interest in standing still.

Keeva has been steadily carving out her place in the Irish techno scene, bringing a sound shaped by years spent around the scenes in Amsterdam, London and New York. Her sets sit on the deeper, rougher edge of the genre, pulling from old-school machine funk, hypnotic loops and the kind of forward motion that keeps a floor locked in without shouting for attention.

Her recent mix for Redd Ophis Invites on Aaja Radio was named Mix Of The Week by FOUR FOUR Magazine, and she has already stepped into spaces including Fuinneamh, Emerge, If You Know You Know Festival, M01 in Berlin, Belfast’s Telegraph Building, Banana Block, The Ulster Sports Club and Dublin’s Pawn Shop.

She also joins AOIFE at Tresor New Faces on 24th June, with AOIFE, who has previously featured on our mix series, curating the night at the Berlin institution. She joins AOIFE and Ayolxi, TAUREAN on the night, a strong line-up!

For her NUDE TECHNO session, Keeva keeps things firm from the off. Willy Parker & Houston Stiller’s ‘Snakes & Bones I’, CODE-13’s ‘Portal’, Kr!z’s ‘Level Zero’, Reeko’s ‘Blueshift’ and Dax J’s ‘Reign Of Terror’ all make an appearance, alongside cuts from Yan Cook, Chris McCormack, Phara, Kerrie, Selective Response and a healthy dose of Sunil Sharpe.

Just tough, focused techno from an emerging selector with her head firmly in the right place.

Boom Merchant lands on the NUDE Techno podcast with a mix that does exactly what it should, straight to the floor, no filler. The Irish artist, now based in Mexico, has been quietly stacking credibility for years, from Glasgow’s underground parties to sets across Japan and Germany. You can hear that graft in this selection.

His sound pulls classic techno grooves into deeper territory, thick atmospheres, swirling percussion and basslines that sit heavy without shouting. It is hard, hypnotic and flexible enough to move between rooms and moods.
