    1994 John Doe Cold Case Murder Victim Identified! Killer Still Loose

    On January 8, 1994, a person walking a wooded area off of State Highway 225 in Baldwin County, Alabama, spotted skeletal remains with items scattered about the scene: A trucker hat that said America By Birth, Texan by Grace Of God, a western shirt, an inhaler, a digital watch, dark pair of prescription, bifocal glasses, a mechanical pen and pencil set, as well as a torch tip. Investigation revealed the person was a victim of a homicide and detectives believe the murder happened in 1988 or 1989, but detectives were unable to identify the victim. The investigation stalled and the case went cold. Joseph Scott Morgan and Dave Mack take on the case of "Baldwin County John Doe" a case that was cold for decades, but not forgotten. Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences working with local law enforcement Submit Forensic evidence to OTHRAM, and after 30 years, "Baldwin County John Doe" has a name, and his family has some peace.

    Man Murders Friend, Cuts off Head and Hands, Makes Victim Girlfriend "Clean up"

    Out of prison for exactly one month, Christopher Ebanks is accused of killing a friend, Billy Joe Carrethers, with some type of odd stabbing weapon, then forcing Carrethers girlfriend, Selena Blanco, to clean up the mess. The victim was then placed in a bathtub, wrapped up in carpet and air mattress, bound with an extension cord and put into a closet. But not before Ebanks allegedly cut off the victims' head and hands and placed them in a suitcase and carried out of the apartment. Joseph Scott Morgan and Dave Mack discuss the case and additional details that help explain some of the charges Ebanks now faces with his bond set at $1 million!     Cold Cases SOLVED! Undercover Cops Get DNA From Suspect with "Chewing Gum Trick"

    July 12, 1980, Everett, Washington: Married, mother of two, Susan Vesey, was found dead in her home the morning after her 21st birthday. Her children were home while she was tied up, beaten, sexually assaulted and strangled. Many possible suspects, including her husband and brother-in-law, were interviewed, but no arrest was made, and the case went cold. June 2, 1984, Everett, Washington: Passerby calls 911 from a pay phone to report a fire in a small apartment building. Firefighters rush in to put out the fire and find Judy Weaver, tied up with a phone cord, strangled, brutalized and dead. The investigation stalls and goes cold. In the Weaver evidence file - a piece of carpeting from the apartment and a cigarette butt from the potential suspect. Joseph Scott Morgan and Dave Mack dig into the files of Susan Vesey and Judy Weaver and explain how those murders were directly tied to a sexual assault in 1979 of a woman who was able to escape the monster and the sexual assault of two sisters in 1984, that landed the suspect in prison, his DNA in CODIS, and creative undercover investigators using the "chewing gum trick" to solve two cold case homicides.

    COLD CASE HEATS UP! 23-years After Michigan Grandmother Murdered, Killer CAUGHT!

    On February 22, 2003, the body of 57-year-old Jeanette Wilton was discovered near her home in the Flint River, close to a train trestle. Joseph Scott Morgan takes an in-depth look at the autopsy that showed the mother of three and grandmother to seven, had been sexually assaulted before she died of strangulation and multiple stab wounds to her neck. She also suffered blunt force trauma to her head and face along with contusions and postmortem abrasions. Dave Mack looks at the investigation where no murder weapon was found, no suspects identified, no arrest made, and the case went cold quickly. Two decades would pass before the case was brought in from the cold, and with the help of the Western Michigan University Cold Case Program, the Michigan State Police Cold Case Team was able to examine the evidence and find forensic evidence that could be sent to Othram in the Woodlands, Texas, leading to the identification of a suspect and an arrest.

    When Katherine Torbick failed to show up for work and friends could not get her to reply to calls and texts, police were called to do a "well-being" check. Officers were made aware of a recent domestic violence incident at the home involving Katherine and Kevin Motykie. Katherine ended her relationship with Motykie and he had a pending arrest warrant for aggravated domestic battery involving Katherine at the time police arrive at the home. Police forced entry into the residence and found Katherine Torbick, dead, with multiple signs of trauma. Joseph Scott Morgan and Dave Mack take an in-depth look at the crime scene as well as a digital recording found in Kevin Motykie's pocket, a recording that captures the entire 7-hour assault from beginning with Motykie putting handcuffs on Torbick all the way to Katherine's final breath.
