- Part nine of the 10-part miniseries (episodes 98 to 107). One more episode after this. You can drop in here on its own or go back to episode 98 and take the whole journey. Either works.
We have spent the last few episodes celebrating your facets, your brilliance, the parts of you that you hid away and were asked to make smaller.
And now we need to have the conversation that most people in this space do not want to have.
Because the real work?
It is not all love and light and crystals and double rainbows.
And if your spiritual practice, your healing, your personal development is only ever comfortable, only ever surface level, only ever namaste and aren't you doing wonderfully, I am going to lovingly tell you that is not healing.
That is hiding.
And there is a very important difference between the two.
This episode is about that difference.
We get into:
Why the most successful people on paper, the ones with the career and the relationship and the financial success and the beautiful life, are often the ones who feel the most unexplainably incomplete, and why that is so hard to admit when everything looks perfect from the outside
The lotus flower and why you do not get to bloom without going through two or three feet of mud and silt and darkness first, and why anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something
What a shamanic death actually is, what it has looked like in my own life, and why I no longer meet it with dread but with a full yes, bring it, because I know what is available on the other side
The difference between not having the bandwidth right now and using bandwidth as a permanent excuse to stay comfortable and never go deeper, because one is valid and one is self-deception
Why surface level practice gives you surface level results, and what it actually means to commit to the deeper work
Shadow work, dark night of the soul, and why I would never send anyone into that territory alone, why I walk alongside my clients through every part of it
Why my deepest work containers are always a year long, and what becomes possible for someone who is truly committed to going there
The question to ask yourself right now as you come towards the end of this miniseries: are you prepared to actually do the work?
Not the comfortable version of it.
The real version.
Warriors are not forged in flower meadows.
They are forged in fire.
And everything you have been through, every dark part, every hidden facet, every difficult season, it has all been making you.
None of it was wasted.
ichelfrancis.com - Part eight of the 10-part miniseries (episodes 98 to 107). This one ties in so beautifully with episode 104 that I'd recommend listening to them back to back. But as always, it stands alone too.
We are getting to the good bits now.
This episode is a celebration.
A full, unfiltered, no apologies celebration of every single part of you that someone once told you was too much.
Too intense. Too loud. Too direct. Too deep. Too out there. Too alternative. Too different. And here is the question I wish I had asked every single time someone said any of those things to me.
Too much compared to what?
Because being too much is never a you problem.
It is always a context problem. You were never too much.
You have just been in rooms that were not built for you.
Rooms full of people who were not ready for you, who were intimidated by you, who could not see the facets of the diamond they were standing right next to.
We get into:
The dial that someone once asked you to turn down from 15 to 5, and why you were never meant to be a 5 in the first place
Why every time you listened when someone told you to tone it down, you were scratching out a facet of the diamond that you came here to be. And what it costs you, and the world, every time you do it
The difference between being tolerated and being celebrated, and why finding the rooms where you are celebrated changes everything about how you move through life
Why shame cannot live in the light, and what happens when you start bringing those hidden facets out into the open and sharing them with the people who get it
The table conversation. What I did when I was not being given a seat at the table I had earned and was more than qualified for. Why I stopped waiting to be invited and built my own instead
What my Moon Circle Movement, my masterminds, my retreats, all of my work is really about at its core, because it has always been about this. Come as you are. Every single facet. No editing required.
You are not broken.
You do not need fixing.
You have just forgotten some of the parts of you that make you even more extraordinary than you already know yourself to be.
And this episode is here to remind you of every single one of them.
ichelfrancis.com - Part seven of the 10-part miniseries (episodes 98 to 107). Listen as part of the series or drop in on its own. Either works, but the journey builds beautifully from episode 98.
This is the episode I have wanted to record for a long time. Because this is the one I see come up over and over and over again, in the Moon Circle, in my private advisory, in every space I have ever held for women to be truly seen.
At some point, you started making yourself small.
Maybe someone told you to tone it down. Maybe nobody said anything at all and a look from a stranger did it instead. Maybe it happened so gradually you didn't even notice until one day you looked up and realised you'd hidden the most precious parts of yourself so well you'd almost forgotten where you put them.
This episode is about finding them again.
We get into:
The moment most of us first sacrificed a piece of who we really are to be accepted, to be liked, to be loved, and why the exchange was never worth what it cost.
Why this shows up so powerfully in motherhood, the martyr piece that gets passed down through generations without a single word ever being spoken about it.
The story about my sister that stopped me in my tracks this week and why her moment of catching herself and choosing not to shrink is one of the most powerful things I have witnessed.
Why you cannot make anyone else feel less than by being the fullest version of yourself, and why telling yourself that story is keeping you hidden.
The energetics of unapologetic authenticity, who it repels, who it magnetises, and why your only job is to show up fully and let the frequency do the rest.
Why when you hide your shine, you are not just robbing yourself. You are robbing someone out there who is wandering around in the dark and needs your light to show them what is possible.
What it would do to the frequency of this entire planet if even five to ten percent of us chose to show up as the full, unedited, no apologies version of ourselves.
This one is not about being fearless. It is about being you anyway. Because there is only one unique expression of you that will ever exist.
And the world needs it.
All of it.
ichelfrancis.com - Part six of the 10-part miniseries (episodes 98 to 107). Drop in here or start at 98 for the full journey. Either works.
We've been building to this one.
Because once you start questioning your choices, your stories, your identity, your alignment... the resistance shows up.
And most of us have been misreading it our entire lives.
Here's the thing about resistance.
It doesn't always mean push harder.
Sometimes it means stop, lean in, and listen.
And knowing the difference between the two is one of the most valuable things you will ever learn about yourself.
This episode is about exactly that.
We get into:
Why the resistance you've been calling laziness, procrastination or not being good enough is almost certainly something else entirely, and why that distinction matters more than you think
The whisper versus the roar.
How the universe will always find a way to get the message through, and why you want to catch it at the whisper stage
The nine months I spent sitting with resistance in my coaching business, leaning into the no, and what that period taught me about alignment, timing and trusting the nudge
Why everything is a mirror and what it means when the thing you're pushing towards keeps pushing back
How to start knowing yourself well enough to tell the difference between intuitive resistance and a tired Tuesday
Why getting curious before getting critical is the move that changes everything
The to-do list that most of us never write: discover who I am. And why that might actually be the most important item on it
What it really means to become your own best friend, not in a surface level way, but in a knows yourself on a soul level way
This isn't about giving yourself permission to not do the things.
It's about listening closely enough to know what the resistance is actually saying before you decide what to do with it.
Because sometimes you just need a good night's sleep and to get back at it tomorrow.
And sometimes the resistance is the most important message you'll ever receive.
ichelfrancis.com - *Part five of the 10-part miniseries (episodes 98–107). Drop in anywhere, but the journey builds , start at 98 for the full picture.*
Here's the uncomfortable truth about optimisation: you can be incredibly efficient, incredibly organised, incredibly productive and still be getting brilliant results in a life you never actually chose.
This episode is about that.
The moment you stop and realise you've been optimising other people's choices, not your own.
That you've been adding plates and spinning them faster so you don't have to sit with the question of whether you even want to be at the table.
I've been there.
Running four children and two businesses like a small army, every system perfected, every hour accounted for and using every single bit of it as a very effective distraction technique from asking myself the real questions.
We get into:
What optimisation actually means and why the most efficient version of the wrong life is still the wrong life
How we inherit choices, accept them as our own, and then spend years making them run smoother rather than questioning them in the first place
Why keeping busy is one of the most socially acceptable forms of self-deception going
What the pandemic cracked open for so many people and why six years later most of us are straight back on the hamster wheel
Why you can fool yourself all day long, but you cannot fool energetics and frequency
The only optimisation I'm actually interested in anymore and why joy, ease and simplicity beat efficiency every time
How to find the pause, whatever season of life you're in even if it's just two minutes before the rest of the house wakes up
Why discovering what you really want and then ignoring it is the death of a thousand cuts
This isn't a podcast about how to do things better. It's about whether you're doing the right things at all.
And it's about giving yourself permission , full, unconditional permission to redesign any part of this at any time.
Because it's your life. Not your parents'. Not your partner's. Yours.
